Soban Attari’s Role

On the Ground in the 2022 Floods

When floods submerged almost a third of Pakistan in 2022, Soban Attari went to the worst-hit areas to help with relief work.

The Cause

No One Left Behind

Pakistan has been repeatedly devastated by floods. Entire communities have been washed away, lives destroyed overnight. In response to these crises, Soban Attari has mobilised his community for emergency flood relief operations, reaching the most vulnerable families with urgent aid.

Islam does not allow a believer to stand idle while others suffer. The Prophet ﷺ described the Muslim community as a single body: when one part suffers, the whole body responds. Flood relief is not charity; it is an obligation of brotherhood.

Operations

How We Help

Emergency Food Packs

Coordinated distribution of emergency ration packs to flood-affected families, enough to sustain a family of 6 for 2 weeks. Sourced, packed, and delivered by our volunteer teams.

Clean Water Supply

Deployment of water purification units and bottled water distribution in areas where flood contamination has made local water unsafe. A critical first-response measure.

Shelter & Reconstruction

Emergency tents and temporary shelters in the acute phase, followed by community reconstruction support to help families rebuild their homes and lives over the long term.
